As we all know, from time to time there are problems that arise with Marine Electronics and Navigation equipment and the systems we sell.  Some of the problems are minor in nature and can be absorbed in the day-to-day operations of the equipment.  On the other hand, there are problems that affect the operation and/or the installation of equipment to the point where continued operation is limited and/or the safety of your personnel and/or customer are put in jeopardy.  We will address both minor and major problems as well as product information with our Dealer Technical Bulletin program.

This program is generated exclusively from our company – J.A.C.S. Marine Electronics – and is to be used by our approved NMEA Dealers and Installers in conjunction with the appropriate Installation and Service Manuals fro the Manufacturer.  The bulletin information will be accumulated from the Manufacturer’s bulletins and also through installations, service, your feedback, customer feedback, and customer use of the products involved.  We will pass on this information to make you aware of particular problems and the possible solutions.

Our primary goal should be to ensure ease of installation/service and trouble free operation for the customer.  Our secondary goal, and just as important, should be to limit the “Comebacks” and keep the profits in our pockets.  This builds customer confidence in your Dealership and therefore helps the customer make their decision each time he or she upgrades or buys equipment to come to you for their purchase.

This program is to be an interactive program.  We would like the Dealers and Installers to participate in sharing their problems and solutions so that all of us can take advantage of everyone’s knowledge.  Remember when someone smarter than us said, “Let’s put our heads together and find a solution”?  Usually, the solution was right there in front of you – you just needed someone to point it out.  There is no such thing as a ‘dumb’ question.  If you thought of it – someone else probably has the same question too!
